Guest guest
I'd recently enquired about a couple of books and Ram took the effort of trying to get the info. But they just weren't available. I recently stumbled upon a search engine. It's called www.bookfinder.com. It's developed by an Indian student in US and is hooked onto databases of various book shops. I got both the books! Try your luck. I'm still looking for one book - a translation of Shankara's Sarva Siddhanta Samgraha - a short critical analysis of all major Indian philosophies, both astika and nastika. I've seen a good one by an Indian author in the NY public library. But haven't had much luck in obtaining a copy for myself. Madhva's Sarva Darshana Samgraha would do as well, but am not sure about the quality of the available translation by Cowell and Gough (who critized the "empty" concept of nirguna Brahman, as the best the Indian mind was capable of conceiving!). If anybody knows of any other reputed translation please let me know. Rgds, Nanda
