Dear advaitin friends

I must apologise to you for not participating in the very lively and

enlightening discussions that are taking place on subjects which are

nearest to my heart. For the past one month I have been working on my

book on Science and Spirituality which I have been putting on the web

(Address is coming along with th signature below). There are nine

Sections in the book entitled:

The Theme; The The Concept; The Path; The Wonder; The Proof; The

Paradox; The Type; The Lesson; The Consummation.

Of these the first seven have been posted as of this morning. The

seventh particularly is on 'Four Character-types of all human minds'.

I am sure you would like to have a look at it. Not that I want to

distract your attention from what you are doing now. In fact, now that

I have done most of the work on the book I will now go through the

past one month's postings on the 'advaitin' and would like to join you

in the discussions. Regards to all.

Yours, profvk

Namaskarams ProfvK:

Thanks for sharing the information about the Homepage on Spirituality. I

have visitied quite a few times and I want to congratulate you on behalf

of this list for a fine presentation. I am glad to hear that you will

be more active and we are looking forward to your thoughtful articles

and commentories.

I have a request on behalf of the list. I believe that a sizable number

of members do not have direct Internet Access and they may not be able

access the enlightening discussions in your homepage on Science and

Spirituality. I request you to post some key articles to the benefit of

the members who don't have Internet Access.

I am quite confident that the members who have access to Internet will

visit the Homepage and enjoy the rigorous analysis presented by ProfVK.

I strongly recommend the members to make use of this great opportunity.

Speaking of not participating, and four (only?) types of human characters, I

have been busy putting up a website about PROMISE to be found at

http://www.tony-net.net/promise

It is a play in English poetry based on Valmiki's Ramayana but focusing on

the theme "what makes a good national leader." Originally the play was

supposed to be a libretto. The site is up to encourage discussion of that

idea.

You will see advaita in the play, naturally. One example under the

Selection "Two Kinds of Love" occurs during the love scene between Rama and

Sita. It is said that romantic love brings a direct experience of oneness

for all who experience it but only a few recognize it as the truth about the

self. Here is the reference:

(RAMA embraces SITA.)

Whether I am Vishnu, come from heaven

To earth, I cannot say, but you are Lakshmi

--My present daily wealth, my moment to moment

Ease, in forest or in palace--to me.

--SITA--

Can any man fill so fully my heart?

Oh Rama, it's nothing you do, but you yourself.

You are the satisfaction of my soul,

My being, knowing and sweet support.

We only seem to be two. Truly, in the love

Of a wife for a husband, she feels the oneness

Sages say is the Self of All, the freedom

People seek.

--RAMA--

Amazing! Separation

Disappears and there is only Oneness

Aware of two bodies, two minds, two lives,

Appearing to be real, appearing true.

With supreme aikya - I am reminded of the familiar advertisement - "the

name goes in before the quality goes"

You have the supreme ekatva bhaavam in the name itself. One cannot but see

the adviata in every love.

Welcome back.

Thanks you for the sweet reply, Sadananda. Yes, you have rightly seen Swami

Dayananda's intent in giving me the name Aikya. . It has been a quiet

personal honor to work on Rama's story. I hope it soon will not just be

mine.
