I don't mean this in an overly critical way but my understanding is this is

supposed to be a forum for discussing shankara's teaching. If we get into an

extended discussion of every modern westerner who claims to have experienced the

non-dual we will find the list hopelessly watered down. Surely these people can

be discussed elsewhere.

I want to thank KC for his comments reinforcing the list policies. I

can fully understand his frustration. His posting is a valid reminder

to all the members and I request everyone to try your level best to meet

the list policies. Those who to this list have the right to

expect the postings to meet the basic list guidelines. we don't have any

right to fill the members' mailboxes with postings that go beyond the

scope of Advaitin.

 

Those who send same posting simultaneously to several lists should take

extra care. I fully understand the good intentions, but please

understand that we have no right to impose on others with email that

they don't want! Let us use our discriminating intllect to sort out

our postings and reduce network and mailbox congestion!
