Guest guest
Namaste everyone Both postings (theosophy & Sat/chit/ananda) were excellent. We are actively involved in trying to see what links science to spirituality. We feel the teachings of Vivekananda are very relevant in this matter. We are working towards this in a serious manner. If any member of this list has an interesting view point on this subject kindly let us know. Just to give you an idea of what we are working on: Sat / Chit / Ananda We would proceed by starting to analyse the word 'Sat'. We would say the word 'sat' or 'truth' should be examined from the view point of philosophy, physics and methamatics in detail. That is how we proceed. We look up the works of the best in the West say: Karl Popper, Godel, Einstien to see how they define Truth and then compare it to the definition given by a spiritual giant like Ramana or Vivekananda. Most of the talks we are allowed to give at various important venues in England are focused on this themes. These talks are well received. jay Vivekanada Centre London
Guest guest
Re: what links science and spirituality IMHO is truthfulness. Neither the spiritual person nor the scientist can proceed unless he/she is scrupulously truthful about everything, within and without. Maybe that is why the greatest scientists in whatever field come right to the shore of advaita.
