Guest guest
This reminds me gurudev Swamy Chinmayananda's reply to my question: This happened 12 years back. As a secretary to the CHYK, I had the privilege to be the official driver of Swamiji, during a Spiritual Camp at Guntur. I have asked a lot of questions during those days :-) One day we have arranged a youth meet. Again I got the chance to question him on the dais :-). I asked "Swamiji, you are quite religious and you got schools where they teach religion. Again, why do you advise us (students) to study the modern education?" Swamiji laughed out loud and answered: (before answering seriously he said in his usual fashion "So Madhav want to escape from his education. aa..aaaa..) Answer: "We need modern education with an ancient mind. The mind that accepts the past can better understand the present, and also can excel in future! Accept what has been told, it is 'religion'. Nay! investigate what has been told, that becomes 'science'. Your investigation is called science. Once your investigation is complete, though nobody forces you... you will become religious."
