What truly amazes is that so few are willing to take the necessary

experiments to find out for oneself what one's optimum diet has to consist

of. There are many theories with followers but where is experiential data

and on what is that based? Considering the issue top-down, one is spirit

linked to a body (or bodies). These bodies have to function properly which

means for the physical one, abundant energy and the absence of disease and

bodily conditions that will influence the mind. Not having had any cold or

flue or other disease since ten years, my experiments were rather successful

:)

Hi Jan:

I do believe that diet is important and should be approached consciously.

As I move through life I would have to be totally unconscious not to notice

that my body responds negatively to certain foods. However, I also notice

that my body responds to my mental diet and attitude as well. You have not

been ill for 10 years and I have no doubt that the purity of your diet

accounts for that but I must ask you if you have factored in other

attributes to your good health - such as climate, low stress levels and

clean air?

Hi Linda,

The climate proved to be unimportant. Stress hasn't been a factor for thirty

years and clean air isn't a factor of importance either. Some circumstantial

evidence is the health of animals, living in nature, who are subjected to

polluted air as well and contrary to humans, they don't develop allergies.

So I could compare things in a rather objective fashion. If spiritual life

is based on logical premises, it would follow that the diet for optimum

health has to coincide with Ahimsa. In my case this is true as not even

plants have to be killed for food.
