Guest guest Posted June 19, 1999 Report Share Posted June 19, 1999 Dear Friends, How can "Neo-Vedantism" and Shankaracharya's views be reconciled? Is the division of Nirguna Brahman and Saguna Brahman a duality of sorts? How can the Bhakta and the Jnani shake hands, embrace, and reach the same conclusion? Some feel that Shankaracharya's views are one-sided, only half the truth. Does the personal, creative, dynamic and loving side of God also have a claim to absolute reality? How do those on these lists feel about Ramanuja's Visisht-Advaita? Can the viewpoints of the Shankaracharya and Ramakrishna "schools" of Advaita Vedanta ever be reconciled? This is being posted to the Ramakrishna and the Advaitin lists. The philosophies on these lists differ to some extent. Can there be pure agreement somehow?
