May I ask if you're also a student of "yourself?" In other words, do you only study the words of Sri Ramana Maharshi, or do you also have a sadhana? I can see you are a practitioner of Bhakti, but hope you also practice discrimination, renunciation, etc. as Bhakti by itself can continue for several or more lifetimes until moksha. >I hope that I will be able to contribute something of worth to the advaitin >forum and I am sure I will learn much. Just by being here you are contributing. Anything you say can and will be helpful to someone, as all paths lead eventually to the Absolute. List Archives available at: /viewarchive.cgi?listname=advaitin Hi Tim: Sorry I am taking so long to reply. My practice is primarily surrender to my Guru and the attempt to practice what He teaches: Self-Enquiry being his main emphasis; everything else is an aid to practice insofar as it calms the incessant thoughts and allows me to ask "Who Am I?" with a mind that is one-pointed. Grace of Guru is everything and everything the Grace of Guru. And yes, I have a sadhana and yes I am studying mySELF. That about sums it up. Thank you for asking. I visited the CORE of the Web and was quite impressed. I shall visit again. Your Cat link was fun also. Four books by Ramana Maharshi are available for downloading the whole book (small books) at the Sri Ramanasramam web site (well worth a peek): http://www.ramana-maharshi.org/index.htm In Ramana David <damac Tues., July 20, 1999 10:39 PM EDT
