I've had the NOMAIL option set for a year or so.

Are Greg Goode and Ram Chandran still here?

Thought for today is " because subjects and

objects can only be defined reciprocally in

relation to each other they will both cease to

exist if they can't be clearly distinguished from

each other ". Anyone who tries to delineate

exactly where their self begins and ends in

relation to what is not their self will realize

the border was always only assumed. When an exact

separation can't be established between them they

merge cancelling each other out. Ever read this

exact argument before? If so I'd like to know

where. thanks...

my warmest regards to all ...

heard of it, but don't know where. at any rate

i concur. it's like a dim star that can be seen

as long as you're looking slightly askance. as

soon as you train your gaze on it, it disappears.

same with the matter of subject/object delineation,

as well as the existence of the ego, the Mind, and

obstacles, problems, anxieties, etc. within ego-Mind.

as soon as one attempts to directly behold any of

these, they disappear. this is the successful result

of the application of the atmavichara (Self-enquiry).

Hi! Greg is here.

There are three writers I like who treat this subject. Atmananda of

Tivandrum collapses the subject/object duality from the outside in, by

showing how there can't be any objects. Wei Wu Wei collapses the duality

from the inside out, by showing how there can't be any subject. Nagarjuna,

in his Treatise on the Middle Way, attacks it from both ends. Let me know

if you'd like biblio info on these.

Regards,

Thanks for the replies from Greg and Frank.

BTW Frank, is your book published yet?

I think you were going to call it "Automatic

Freedom" ?
