translation of Ksemaraja's "Doctrine of

Recognition" (Pratyabhijnahrdayam) <-- this is a

root text of Kashmir Shaivism...

 

" 'When He [siva] becomes intent to roll out the

entire splendor of the Universe that is contained

in His heart (in germinal form), He is designated

as Sakti.'

 

Sakti is therefore His intentness to create; the

active or kinetic aspect of Consciousness. "
