Popular protestant, fundamentalist movements in the USA are not the only "fundamentalist" movements going on in the world today... there is fundamentalism in Islam and some would even argue a "fundamentalism" in Hinduism. You're right also about the use of holy books to "start" wars ... of course those who stoop to use a holy book for such a purpose as starting a war must pay a great price, in my opinion, but the "war" has already started in their hearts. The discussion about the Kali Yuga I had with my beloved teacher, Swami Prabhavananda occurred late at night over thirty years ago and is still etched in my mind.
