I don't think he's talking about twisting the limbs around in asana postures here! Genuine curiosity about the truth is a gift from God (or the true Self if you prefer). Whenever I see it in someone I know (or feel a strong intuition) they are destined to discover the truth which is really drawing them back to Itself. By the way, Krshna also says no effort is wasted -- if not this life then surely in future ones your genuine effort will bear fruit. pranams to you and the sincerity in us all, P.S.
