Guest guest
Dear all, >There is neither regulation nor regulators to judge >what is genuine and what is not. For example, the >head of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetem (organization >established by Shankara to represent Advaita Vedanta), >Swami Chandrasekarendra Saraswati had very good >relationship with Ramana Maharishi. >From what I hear from several sources that >Kanchi Swamiji considered Ramana as a bonafide saint. Thanks for your reply. On the topic of integrating sources of knowledge I am reminded of the story about Yogaswami (ranking Saivite in Sri Lanka) meeting Ramana. They apparently sat looking intently into each other's eyes for a few hours without saying a single word. Yogaswami returned to Sri Lanka and when asked about their meeting replied "we said all that needed to be said". :-)) You asked about wanting to "get out of our human appearance" but I'm not sure I'd put it that way. I feel my sacred duty is to let it all be precisely as it is by balancing acute mindfulness and complete surrender. Then my status as a separate soul is no longer a concern. I can still enjoy philosophical "small talk" but nothing like the deeper joy that's unconcerned about anything at all. Am I enlightened? I couldn't care less! Being present is contentment itself. -A.
