My copy of the Gita says in Chapter 6 v.30 -- "He who sees Me everywhere

and sees everything in Me, to him I am never lost, nor is he ever lost to Me."

Chapter 6 v.47 says -- "And of all yogis, the one who worships Me with

faith, his inmost self abiding in Me -- him do I hold to be the most

closely united with Me in yoga."

It seems clear in my translation the "Me" above is Krshna (God)

and *not* the yogi and these quotes therefore actually support

my suggestions quite well ... :-))

ac Here are the slokas I was quating and their meaning.

sarva bhuutastam aatmaanam sarva bhuutanicha aatmani|

iikshate yogayoktaatmaa sarvatra sama bhuddhayaH||

sarva bhuutastam = abiding in all beings

aatmaanam - one self

sarva bhuutaani = all beings

ca = and

aatmani = in one self

iikshate = sees

yoga yuktaatmaa = one who is established in yoga

sarvatra = everywhere

samadarshanaH=one who has equanimity everywhere

One who is fully established in yoga, he sees one self abiding in all beings

and all being in oneself, he has the visions of equanimity everywhere.

The next sloka the idea is presented by Krishna identifying himself as the

total self or paramaatma

yo mam pasyati sarvatra sarvanca mayi pasyati

tasyaaham na praNasyaami sa ca mena praNasyati||

yah = who

mam = me (Krishna as universal persanality)

pasyati = sees

sarvatra = everywhere

sarvanca = all everything

mayi = in me

pasyati = sees

aham = I

na praNasyati = will not get sepated from him

sa ca = he too

me = me

na praNasyati = will not get separated from me.

He who sees me everywhere and sees everthing in me, he never gets separated

from me nor I will get separated from him.

The message is the same in both - the first sloka refers to atma with

reference to yogi who is fully established and the next sloka should refere

to seeing Krishna everywhere - from Bhakti point since seer is other than

Krishna.

My quations and discussion closely follow advaitic interpretation. YOu can

interpret any way that appeals to you.
