100 verses on renunciation: Acknowledgement from the List Moderator

I want to thank Parvathiji and suprabhaji for acknowledging the

usefulness of the verses posted by Jay. As a list moderator, I want to

acknowledge and admire the enthusiasm of Jay in posting the verses from

Astavakra and the verses from renunciation. The list is fortunate to

witness the spirit and knowledge of Sri. Ramakrishna and Swami

Vivekananda through Jay and the list members are grateful to his

services.

 

Let me take this opportunity to make couple points regarding postings in

the list:

 

(1) Posting articles in any mailing list to benefit the members of the

list is an act of Karma Yoga and is a great opportunity to cultivate

attitude to forgo the fruits of such actions. In reality, the reward

comes without asking - posting an article is the best reward for the

poster.

 

(2) It is also a good gesture for the list members to send an

acknowledgement to the poster for specific articles through a personal

mail.

 

(3) When a member finds objectionable materials in any postings, I

suggest he/she should send a mesage to the list moderator

(chandran) for corrective action. I am happy to say that

this list didn't experience this problem for the past six months and I

thank the members for keeping this list free from such problems.

 

Finally, let me thank you members for your continued cooperation and

understanding
