I would cite verse 61 of Chapter 18 of the Gita, for which I offer two English translations: "The Lord abides in the hearts of all beings, O Arjuna, causing them to turn round by His power as if they were mounted on a machine." "Arjuna, the Lord resides in the heart of all creatures, making them reel magically, as if a machine moved them." In the heart of the Jivatman there is always Brahman-realization.
