Guest guest
Hello Advaitin List, I have followed this list for some time before joining. I enjoy the atmosphere of the exchanges that occur here, as well as the wisdom imparted. I am a psychologist who works as a therapist and teacher. My interest in topics related to nonduality is a continuing theme throughout my life. My central areas of study related to this thread have been Buddhism (Zen, Dzogchen, and to a lesser extent Vipassana and Hua Yen), Taoism, Jungian psychology, and Qabala (Jewish mysticism). I have found teachings from Ramana Maharshi and Shankara to be useful as well, although my exposure to these advaita teachings came later in life and were used as "confirmation" of the nondual reality of which I already was aware. I am interested in nonduality as this pertains to wellness, balance, and peace. My perception is that advaita is not merely a matter of a particular scripture or teacher, but is the Reality of realities, the atemporal Truth that is the Religion beyond apparently separate religions, and the Wholeness "underlying" all healing. Thank you for providing this forum, Dan

Guest guest
Let me echo Ram and Gummulluru's welcome to Sri Dr. Dan Berkow. He is a kind and understanding observer, and we have much to learn from his insightful ways of integrating the teachings of psychology with a thorough-going approach to non-dualism. And Dan, you have no doubt observed the care and skill with which Ram and Gummulluru moderate this list - it makes it a pleasure to participate! --Greg At 06:01 PM 11/2/99 -0500, Ram Chandran wrote: >Ram Chandran <chandran > >We want to welcome you again on behalf of the list members. Guest guest
This list is truly "self-moderated," and everyone in this list is responsible for the pleasure that we all enjoy! Their responsibility is subtle and that is for good reason! Let us maintain this "tradition," with the spirit of "vairagya," and continue our journey together. regards, Ram Chandran Gummuluru Murthy And EVERYONE Comoderators of Advaitin >Greg Goode <goode >... you have no doubt observed the care and skill with which Ram and >Gummulluru moderate this list - it makes it a pleasure to participate! > >--Greg > >At 06:01 PM 11/2/99 -0500, Ram Chandran wrote: >>Ram Chandran <chandran >> >>We want to welcome you again on behalf of the list members.
