Guest guest
Hari Om Shri Devendra: That is a beautiful and sincere question and let me give you two examples. When we go to movie theater and watch a very realistic movie. When the mind is fully engaged with the movie, the movie appears real and sometime we become attached to the movie characters and we started laughing and crying with them. Everything that we see in the picture is not real but it appears real to the mind. If we think deeply, we can see whatever we see in our life is also like seeing the movie and the same mind experiences both of them. Consequently, we can conclude that the mind doesn't possess the capability to experience the reality and we have to go beyond mind to the see the reality. The second example is the experience of a dream. From the mind's point of view, Dream is real, but we all agree that dream is not real! Everything that happens in our life is also like a dream and we couldn't get the answer from the mind on the question about the reality. This is such an interesting question and you will get lots of response from many members, regards, Ram Chandran Devendra Vyas wrote: > "Devendra Vyas" <dev_vyas74 > > dear friends, > on what basis can we say that the mind gives us only a > picture of reality and does not show us reality itself?,rgds-devendra. >
