Clarification on Forwarding Messages from Nonmembers

Greetings:

The following clarification is for the general interst of all members.

In the past this list was quite fortunate to receive useful and relevant

spiritual messages forwarded by the list members. As the members have

been quite responsible and are quite aware of their responsibility in

keeping this list focusing only spiritual matters, the moderators do not

want to impose unnecessary regulations! However, the moderators will be

more than happy to review them if the members so insist before posting

such messages.

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding,

Dear Ram and Gummuluru,

Speaking for this mind only, the list seems to be working well as-is, and I

see no need or purpose for moderator review of forwarded messages. Since

anyone forwarding a message from a non-member is in essence responsible for

the content of that message, it should be noted by everyone that whatever

is forwarded here should conform to the content guidelines of the list and

be on-topic. So far, I've seen no messages that I would consider

significantly off-topic, and definitely none that drastically violate any

content guidelines.

Also speaking "personally," if I see a message I don't want to read, I just

skip over it, no harm done, and the message is not even remembered five

minutes later. This isn't a very high-volume list, and even if a rare

off-topic post appears, it isn't going to fill up anyone's hard drive or

take 4 hours to read it.

With Love,

Tim
