Thanks for your remarks and encouragement on my posting. Regards Kalyan ************************************************************ I am Kalyan working at San Francisco as a software professional. I was born and brought up in a semi-traditional household in Tamilnadu. I have been quite religious since childhood and my spiritual inclinations began during my college days at Banares during 1988-1992. I was associated with quite a few spiritual traditions during that time which include Ramakrishna mission, Sri Aurobindo, Ramana and Shaktha sampradaya. I was part of a study circle called Vivekananda Nidhi at the BHU campus and got involved with few saints on the banks of ganges. After the joyful college days, I moved to Bangalore and joined Infosys Tech during which stay, I got involved more with the Kanchi Sankaracharya mutt and paramacharya. I read his works and used to visit the mutt and temples all over tamilnadu during the 2 years of stay at Bangalore. After that I have been in and out of US. Since 1994, I have studied vedanta shastra for about two years from Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati at Anaikkatti in Coimbatore in two different phases. (Incidentally, Jaishankarji was my co-student at the gurukulam). I am continuing my studies by myself despite being away from the gurukulam atmosphere. Since I have been actively involved in many of the prominent lines of thinking at different stages of my life, it will definitely be interesting, educative and nostalgic for me to get involved in various discussions undertaken by the forum. Since it is a lifetime learning process, I am sure these discussions will be enrichening our lives and eventually help us gain the infinite we are all seeking. Vidyayaa vindathe amritham. ************************************************************
