If India has withstood wars, invasions, fundamentalist christian missionaries, overpopulation, extreme poverty, etc. then it can probably withstand materialism. If not, then it should be understood that this is the Kali Yuga, and it wouldn't be unusual for ignorance and darkness to increase rather than decrease. We have to see far beyond a single human lifespan, to look beyond even time itself and see that time and history and even nations are creations of the mind. The One Reality (Nirguna Brahman) is timeless, has no location, and no attributes. Let's throw away these distinctions between "lower knowledge" and "higher knowledge," between the "relative plane" and the "absolute plane." There cannot really be both, as that would be a duality. There is only one knowledge. Either there is knowledge of truth or there isn't. Let us give up our attempts to help the world, and simply focus on helping ourselves.
