Question "Advaita Vedanta"

Dear List,

 

Does the translation of the term "Advaita Vedanta" mean the end of the

Vedas, as in the end (finality) of the Vedas (and the coming of something

else)?

 

Or does it mean as in "end result" of the Vedas, or the result of following

Vedic scripture?

 

Thank you for a definitive answer to this. This has been a source of

confusion here for some time.
