Ram Chandran ---------- Forwarded message ---------- I received this information today. This site has the shankarabhaaShya in original with gambhiraanada's English and Harikrishnadas Goekna's Hindi translation. Ravi Mayavaram, the owner/moderator of Advaita-L List GITA SUPERSITE http://www.iitk.ac.in/gita We are happy to announce the launching of the Gita Supersite. On this Supersite, you can view the entire Bhagavadgita in its original language (Sanskrit) and script ( Devanagari), or in any of nine other Indian language scripts, or in Roman transliteration. The Supersite also contains many Classical and Contemporary Commentaries on the Bhagavadgita, together with translations in Hindi and English. The Gita Supersite has been designed to open multiple windows, so that you can view multiple translations and/or commentaries on the Bhagavadgita simultaneously. A two-book option for comparative study is also available. The Search facility on this Supersite enables you to search for the occurrence of any word in the original text of the Bhagavadgita. Right now this facility is available only for the Devanagari script. At present the Gita Supersite is available only for a Windows Platform. You will need a Web browser that supports frames, JavaScript and Java (such as Netscape Navigator 4.0/ Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher versions). Texts available on the Gita Supersite so far include the original Bhagavadgita, classical Sanskrit commentaries by Adi Shankara (with English translation by Swami Gambhirananda and Hindi translation by Sri Harikrishandas Goenka) and Sri Abhinavagupta (with English translation by Dr. S Sankaranarayan), and contemporary commentaries by Swami Chinmayananda (Hindi translation only), Swami Ramsukhdas and Swami Sivananda. Many more texts are on the anvil. We welcome all suggestions/comments to help us improve the Gita Supersite. The Gita Supersite has been developed at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. We gratefully acknowledge the divine patronage of the Master Editor, Sri Veda Vyasa.
