dear friends,

i have read somewhere that mind is infinitesimal in

magnitude, elsewhere i have read that it is medium sized in magnitude.

some say that mind is capable only of serial knowledge while others claim

that mind can have simultaneous knowledge too.

i would also like to know why exactly mind is called finite.well, the mind is

capable of having infinite conceptions though it is not capable of having a

conception of the infinite.

it will be very helpful to know the exact position of vedanta on the above

topics from the learned members,

om.

to my understanding, because the mind is capable

of conceiving the finite, it must also be capable

of conceiving the infinite--circumscribing the range

of the relative spectrum. whereas the Absolute

or brahman embraces the relative spectrum of the

finite/infinite and is simultaneously beyond it.

however, this describes the view divined from the

relative, in its attempt to behold the Absolute,

which technically remains anirvachaniya.
