Guest guest
As Thanks Giving is approaching our heart goes to those who are homeless, those who have great difficulty in meeting both ends, those who have no one to give company at the dinner table, and those who are confined to the bed or the wheel - chair. I came accross BABA's brithday plea ( 11-23-82) which I thought I should share with you all. " You can feel that you have given Swami a proper gift only when you love your fellowmen, take a share of their sufferings and engage yourself in fruitful serving them. That is the only gift I wish for. The present to be given to God is pure, steady and selfless love.... the distressed, the povery-stricken, and those who suffer have no one to serve them. Go to such people and be their friend, their kith, their closest well-wishers. Let them welcome you as such.... Give them GOD in the form of food, Give them God in the form of clothes, Give them God in the form of peace to those who are afflicted with anxiety. Give God in the form of medicine to those who are suffering from ill-health. Give God in whatever form will asssuage fear, pain and sorrow. It is only after this is done that spirituality can soak into the heart."
