Guest guest
Advaitin Satsang Pranams There is an interesting discussion going on about the theories of Creation. >From all this I see, our Hindu approach has been on 2 lines for which I will give a simple arithmetic analogy. The first one is LCF, the lowest common factor or the most common denominator which is the integrating sociological net, our forefathers have created to make the society all inclusive. At the same time, there is a HCF, which is the highest common factor which is the exclusive number more at the philosophical level where the discussion is "Unreality is the Reality" and the discussion is inconclusive even after 1,000 years. May be the words limit our thinking. One point which is brought out is the "Moksha cannot just be theoratically diganoised or mastered, it has to be realized ie. experienced." As an aside, I am sharing an anology, which struck me today morning during prayers which I share with you (on Shri.Madhav's goading). I sit and pray infront of a French window. I kept my thumb & first index finger of each palm together forming a holelike a pear and kept it close to my face and i could see the outside world only through this hole and obviously it was limited. Then I kept moving them till the full stretch of my hands and I saw that it is my own palms blocking the world view and still there blocking it but to a lesser extent. When I removed my palms and brought them to my side, I could see the full view. I compared this each palm, one to our " Likes" and other to "dislikes" and mentioned to myself that if we see the world through our likes & dislikes our view will always be limited. Since I am trying to configure expressions to put across concepts of " Vedanta" to the younger generation as I mentioned in my self introduction, I thought this analogy was useful & simple enough. Just to make sure that I am not plaigarising someone who has mentioned it earlier, I asked shri Madhav for a clarification. He suggested that I put it across to the onelist. So If any of you heard of it, please let me know as I do not want to violate any one's intellectual rights even if it was not registered. I msut give credit to them.
