Guest guest
Dear All, Have been following these thoughts with interest. I'm tiptoeing into this forum but would like to perhaps add a few thoughts here. "4) Awareness-connection with the bliss of the Self is the ultimate truth and is best reached through the elimination of thought. I agree with the first part of point 4 and maybe the second part as well, but I have a positive attitude about the value of thought to be an avenue into God/Truth/Being, and there are conceptions of 'thought' which may refer to what accompanies one into this 'stateless state' (but this is a whole other topic or two!)." Max Harris It seems that as one surrenders "egoic" mind to "divine mind" allowing instant flow through then one also aligns with the Heart. This then initiating just the beginning, which would be a mystic experience, followed by more disciplining of these faculties and allowing closer alignment to love and light so, that one begins to progress on the path to "ultimate Truth" and "Bliss." I would agree whole heartedly that Truth being like a hologram many perspectives may see parts of Truth, perhaps none being totally inclusive. Guest guest
Dear Annette: Your observation is quite precise and beautiful. Some thoughts work like a catalyst to drive out other thoughts and will become an avenue into God/Truth/Being. The shastras (scriptures) suggests Sadhanas (efforts) that can eventually eliminate all thoughts. According to Bhakti Yoga Sadhana, the thoughts will focus on the divinity to remove the selfish desires (thoughts). This implies that the seeker see God everywhere and expresses love and affection to all creatures of the world through unselfish service. All desires are emptied from the heart and are replaced with the divinity and love for the humanity. When the transformation is complete, the devotee reaches the stateless state of True Human Nature. According to the Karma Yoga Sadhana, the seeker conducts actions without analyzing the outcome. When the seeker adopts fully the Karma Yoga Sadhana, he/she reaches the Stateless State of True Human Nature. Both these Sadhanas stress the importance of acceptance of service to the humanity without mental friction which produces the thoughts. The Jnana Yoga Sadhana helps the seeker to arrive to the Karma Yoga Sadhana/ Bhakti Yoga Sadhana through the learning process through Satsang, reading books, and guidance from a Guru. None of these Sadhanas are possible without faith on the scriptures, all learning devices including the Guru. "Faith is to believe what we don't see and the reward is to see what believe" (St.Augustine). Only with Grace we can cultivate faith and without Grace we will continue to question and our thoughts will never end! Although certain descriptors can be given to these concepts, how does one experience these minds? -- Vis
