Guest guest
Hello friends, I joined this list in July for a short while but was not able to stay as I was in a sensitive state as can happen after a gift from the source. I'd like to thank Ram for being really sweet to me during that time. Now I am feeling stronger & I'd like to add to the quotes on freedom, that are being shared. I posted these earlier today but they haven't arrived in my postbox, so I presume they were swallowed by the Void :-) Here they are again. ~*~ "I" is not the word "I", it is everything. "I" as an individual am not able to get to that everything. "I", the Absolute, am not the personal "I". The personal "I" cannot tolerate the impersonal beingness & is afraid of death. The factual, eternal "I", the Absolute, has no fear of death. "You", the Absolute, are not the personal "you." But for all the twenty four hours, the personal entity "you" is watched, nourished & protected so that it may continue on & on. In short, you watch, nourish, protect & guard that which you are not in actuality. ~Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj~ That last line made me laugh! ~*~ Love goes into God's presence unannounced, While at the gate reason & knowledge, must remain, And for an audience wait. ....... Fire melts & makes One; if you rejoin Origin, Your spirit with God's will be melted in One. ~Angelus Silesius~ Because we are also manifest beings as well as unmanifest ~ I would like to also discuss ways of integrating constant expansion (Self) with contraction (dying to the familiar self). It seems to me that learning how not to resist from your manifest self, is crucial to embracing the One Self, Being. I am wondering how others learn not to resist the gift of no thought, Being? I wasn't able to just get it from transcendence. Transcendence will reveal the Self, but then the human psyche fears & resists dissolution into new becoming. I feel it is very important that there be aware counsellors who help guide how us to embrace the Unconditional Self. For my psyche self, I found Jung helpful as well as other teachers. Bye now, Love, Colette
