Guest guest
HariH Om Advaitins: On behalf of all the list members, it is my pleasure to welcome swami Tadatmananda, one of the many talented western disciples of Sri Swami Dayananda Sarswati. I wrote to him about the upcoming Gita Satsang and he showed keen interest and expressed his whole-hearted support. To day I received an Email from him indicating that he wanted to join and bless the list. Swami Tadatmananda teaches Upanishads and Bhagavat Gita during regularly conducted Gurukulam programs. His presence in our list is a great blessing to the list and we can look forward to his thoughtful commentories from scriptures and especially from Gita. I have enclosed a brief introduction taken from the Arsha Vidy Gurukulam Website, URL:http://www.arshavidya.org/teachers/swamit.htm "Swami Tadatmananda is currently the resident Acharya at the Gurukulam. In addition to conducting Vedanta classes, seminars, and meditation workshops at the Gurukulam, he conducts a variety of programs throughout the country, teaching adults as well as children. A former computer engineer, he draws upon contemporary scientific and psychological insights while teaching the original sanskrit criptures. Swami Tadatmananda has studied Vedanta under the guidance of Pujya Swamiji since 1981. He has lived in the Gurukulam since its inception in 1986, first as a student, then as the manager, and now as the resident teacher. He has made English translations of many verses from the scriptutes, the most notable being the lyrical translation of the Bhagavad Gita. Having grown up in the American society, Swami Tadatmananda is able to relate to the youth very well. He captures the attention of young minds through his clear expression and through music. He teaches slokas in their original form and their translated version side by side. In his own words, the translation of the Bhagavad Gita is unique in recreating the poetic meter of the Sanskrit verses so that it can be chanted or sung like the original." Guest guest
namaste. It is indeed a great pleasure to see swami Tadatmanandaji as a member of our List. My praNAms to the swamiji and a special welcome to him. I had the good fortune, during the past summer, to be in shri swamiji's company when he majestically and with splendour presided over a function at our house and at our temple. In so doing, he has shown his tremendous qualities of kindness, humility, knowledge, and wisdom and made a lasting impression on the whole community. We, on the List, are extremely fortunate to have him on our List and I look forward to his sage comments on matters advaita and especially on the upcoming gItA satsang. Welcome swamiji to the advaitin List. Regards Gummuluru Murthy --

Guest guest
HariH Om I've had the pleasure and benefit of sitting in one of Swami Tadatmananda's meditation classes and Vedanta classes at the AVG. He has a unique and charming way to combine profound Vedantic wisdom with down-to-earth American common sense, laced with a lightness and wonderful sense of humor. In addition, he showed me the kindness of a personal interview when I had many questions about the AVG and how to further pursue Vedanta teachings more locally. I heartily welcome Swami Tadatmananda to this forum!! --Greg At 06:31 PM 12/16/99 -0500, Ram Chandran wrote: >Ram Chandran <chandran > >HariH Om Advaitins: > >On behalf of all the list members, it is my pleasure to welcome swami >Tadatmananda, one of the many talented western disciples of Sri Swami >Dayananda Sarswati.
