Guest guest
The replies given by Sri Ramana Maharshi to various people are so clear and so full wisdom , that I feel like writing down a few. I trust everyone will enjoy them. Gems from Sri Ramana Maharshi ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1.One of the modern philosophers by name Sri U.G. Krishnamurthy had been to Sri Maharshi. Sri U.G Krishanmurthy was probabbly in his 20s at that time and he wanted to know about Self Realization . After approaching Bhagawan Ramana, he asks U.G.K. Can I realize my self ? Sri Maharshi : Yes. U.G.K. Can you give me that Realization ? Sri Maharshi : (Keeps Silent) U.G.K repeats the question a number of times. The Maharshi remains silent. U.G.K. (irritated) asks "Can you atleast give whatever realization you have ?" Sri Maharshi : Yes , I can give it. But can you take it ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sri Bose after losing his only son is full of grief. He had been a devotee for a long time but this tragedy has removed all his wisdom and put him in deep confusion about the kindness or existence of God. He goes to Sri Maharshi and asks... Bose : What is God ? Sri Maharshi : (With a smile with utmost Kindness) "WHAT IS " is God . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A FREE web-based e-mail service brought to you by the PC World Technology Network. Guest guest
Sri Maharshi explains to a devotee, " Self Realization is the easiest thing to attain. All you need is to be perfectly STILL. What can be easier than that ? But people do not realize that. They like to think of heavens and Gods. It is because that people love mystery more than the truth, that the scriptures cater to them so that slowly they will come back to the Self." Devotee : However Sri Krishna says in the Gita , that among thousands of people scarcely one seeks to know Him and out of those who do, scarcely one knows Him in full. It is easy ! The above conversation clearly brings out that we make the task difficult for our selves and that is why among thousands of people , there is hardly one who can reach the truth. If we have the conviction that the task is easy , then it becomes easy as the Maharshi says. A FREE web-based e-mail service brought to you by the PC World Technology Network.
