The use of the will to shape the world as it is perceived has been a personal experience for me too. Last night I read about how in some computer games, when the physical body of your character has received enough hits during simulations, it fragments. I thought this was a fascinating 20th century metaphor for death and no-death. Best regards, Amanda. Guest guest
Yes Matrix is a thought provoking movie, I have seen it recently in Nicosia. Also, there is this other movie "The trueman show" which conveys much more than Matrix. It is the story of a man who is the part of a live TV serial. He thinks that every thing is perfect in life, until he finds some thing strange. A woman walks in to the set and tries to tell him that he is just an actor, he is been put-up in acting since his birth. At first he doesn't believe this but then he finds that everybody is putting up some acting face. He investigates. And he recognizes that he is not the master of himself but somebody else! He realizes that there is somebody out there who is the director of this entire show. He wanted to be his own master and dictate his life, so he rebels and tries to walk out of the gigantic set... If the world were a drama, then watching the movie is like watching a drama inside a drama... Does this suit your Matrix definition? :-) > > winter mute [mumblecat] > Wednesday, December 22, 1999 10:23 AM > advaitin > Neo, An Introduction > > > "winter mute" <mumblecat > > > >The movie "The Matrix" has become my favorite movie.
