Turumella" <madhava Neo, An Introduction >Also, there is this other movie "The trueman >show" which conveys much more >than Matrix. It is the story of a man who is >the part of a live TV serial. I have heard of this film too and consider it contains an interesting view about life. It's fun Hollywood decided to go ahead with both these film ideas. There are also the Japanese Noh plays, many of which are set in a bardo after the dreamer or main character has died, sort of an enactment of energies from the physical life of the main character played out in the mind in the bardo. There is also another interesting and quite good film around, called The Thin Red Line. It's actually a war film, set in the South Pacific in 1942. When I went to see it, I had not expected to hear lines such as "Now I will rest in my soul and see through its eyes and listen to its ears" and was thoroughly surprised. The director has also gone to great lengths to allude, by the help of visuals and text that god is everywhere in nature and man, even though both man and nature seems and acts terrible. It is a quite violent movie, however, but never pointless in its displays of violence. It's one of the few films describing an idea of non-duality I have ever seen. >If the world were a drama, then watching the >movie is like watching a drama >inside a drama... Does this suit your Matrix >definition? :-) Oh very much so. Drama within a drama. The world enacted out in front of the receiving consciousness / mind seems like a theater play or a movie, because as soon as dreams start up, the images and other sense impressions look almost the same. ) The word "Matrix" has the same root meaning as the word "Mother".
