Guest guest
Dear Friends, Some of you already know that I've been on both the Advaita-L List and on the NondualitySalon List for a while now....although, most of the time, I've usually just hovered in the cyber-wings off the Main Stage and passively observed the many interactive dramas (some erudite, some pedantic, many, though, truly from the Heart) being played out. It's been an honor to have both witnessed and learned. As you all know, words are, by nature, completely dualistic, and so we so-called "non-dualists" (which is actually a total contradiction in terms!) are, seemingly, "condemned" to only pointing at something which turns out to be, in Truth, the very same finger that is doing the pointing. But, as long as we all agree that we can't REALLY talk about "IT," (at least not in the usual sense), our candid admission somehow creates the space for us to, at least seemingly, go ahead and "talk about IT." (It's really quite a paradox, isn't it?) When the Spirit moves me, I do sometimes jump into the fray for several days in a row and have great fun with the other participatants in weaving a particular thread of conversation into a non-dual tapestry (of sorts). But then, after the dust has settled and the conversation has moved on, I invariably retreat back into my silence and slip quite easily into my "inactive" mode. Who can say why? Although I've read eastern philosophy since 1967, Ramana Maharshi has been the life-blood of my Heart since 1970. There's nothing more to say. My current role is as a state licensed psychotherapist in California. I've written (or so it would seem) several deceptively simplistic books on nondualism.
