so true! :-)

....it's really the case with *everything*.

the further we look into a given thing the

more we discover that what we're beholding

is in fact a mystery. this observation has

enormous implications! we shouldn't forget

that Sankara emphasized that the cause and

nature of maya is an unsolvable mystery,

being [incidentally] the saguna projection

of brahman, which is the primordial mystery.

this implies that whatever is unfolding within

the nature of maya's projection in jagat (as

the lila of brahman), possesses *relative*

truths *adaptable* to the nature of the

individual(s) involved, racially, culturally,

temporally. we should therefore realize how

impossible it would be for anyone to effectively

condemn the belief system of another [individual

or culture] (a lesson obviously for the so-called

'Christian' Missionaries to especially learn).

but the implications are wider and more subtle

than this too. they have to do with even the

differences of opinion *within* a given sect

or belief system. i would go so far as to say

there's a degree more or less of relative truth

in virtually every conceivable thought or idea

ever held! aside from the fact that i myself

believe this is true, seeing it this way also

grants us release from otherwise attachment to

the sense of outrage and/or disturbance in

reaction to the things we find disagreeable in

the world. the fact is, whatever is adopted as

a belief by *anyone*, is important for them to

hold for reasons unseen by others, or even by

themselves sometimes! that is, whatever is

transpiring within the soul, manifests as select

conditions/dynamics in the persona, possessing

unique and [perhaps] powerful lessons in store

for the individual. inordinate attempts to

disrupt such could prove counterproductive.

debates are obviously worthwhile; but not if

they become evangelistic. this is in fact why

our List is and has been so successful. it's

clarifying to observe the mechanics behind it.
