Guest guest
Swami Vivekananda on Himself. Swami Vivekananda rarely spoke about Himself, however when He did, the sentences were fascinating. As he used to shuttle between east to west and west to east, He said "Something has taken over me and is giving me no rest". Later he explained to his great disciple Sharat Chandra Chatterjee thus, "What Sri Ramakrishna called as Kali, took control over me shortly before he gave up his body". Sri Ramakrishna called Narendra to his side a few days before His passing and asking him to sit by his side, went into samadhi. Naren felt something like an electric field penetrating into Him. After a while He also lost outer consciousness. When He came to normal consciousness again , Sri Ramakrishna told Him, " Today, I have given You all I have and I have become a poor fakir. By this you shall do a lot of good and then only will you return". Thus Swami Vivekananda had the power of the Divine Mother working through Him. The Holy mother Sarada Devi used to have some visions after the passing of the master. She said once, "I saw Sri Ramakrishna come hurriedly to the ganges, jump in and dissolve Himself. Then Narendra appeared on the scene, took the water from the Ganges and sprinkle it on all around". On another ocassion She saw a vision of Sri Ramakrishna merge into the body of Narendra. When Narendra was told about this, He said ," I wish she had not seen that vision of the master entering into me." Swami Vivekananda used to write many letters to His devotees. In one such letter to an American lady devotee he says, " The battles have both been won and lost and I am waiting for the great deliverer........ I am only the boy who used to sit under the banyan tree in Dakshineswar and listen in rapt wonderment at the wonderful words of Ramakrishna. That is my true nature ..... Now I hear the same voice calling , thrilling my soul ..... ...... Nirvana is before me. I feel it , the same infinite ocean of bliss, not a ripple, not a breath. " A few days before His passing , an inmate of the Belur math heard Swamiji say to Himself, "Vivekananda, Vivekananda ! Had there been another Vivekananda He would have understood, what this Vivekananda has done !". The person who heard these words was startled, for never had Swamiji spoken thus. It reminds us of what Sri Ramakrishna said, "Nobody will ever be able to understand Naren ". Swamiji had also said, "It may be that I may cast of this body like a worn out garment, but I shall not cease to work. I will inspire men and women everywhere till the world shall realize that it is one with God ". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A FREE web-based e-mail service brought to you by the PC World Technology Network.
