Dear Sundarji

Regarding the 'overwhelming fear', springing from the 'helplessly crowding

thoughts of one's own death',

I am reminded of the second verse '(pronouncing) auspiciousness' [Mangalam],

at the 'outset', before beginning the composition of 'Existence Forty' [ulladhu

Naarpadhu],

an original text, composed in Tamil, by Bhagawan Sri Ramana Maharshi.

The translation is as follows:

-Inwardly

1. those people, with fear of death 'in excess', as a fort (protection),

2. will lean (turn inward) towards the '(Lotus) Feet' of '(Lord) Mahesa',

(who is) devoid of 'birth' and 'death'.

3. With that 'leaning' (turning inward), (those people) having 'attained to

(the) death (of their individuality)',

4. will they 'lean' (incline) towards the 'thought of death' (by arising

again, as an 'indvidual ego'),

(having become one with) the 'deathless One'.

The translation has been done accordance with the 'commentary' on the text in

Tamil, by Sri Sadhu Om Swamigal, the deliverer from

the 'maze of verbal accretions', to the poetic lines, revealing the direct

experience of Sri Bhagawan.

Thanks and kind regards
