I joined recently so thought I would briefly introduce

myself. I have had a long association with Gurdjieff

and Ouspensky and manage my own 4th Way list. I also

manage a list on Rational Mysticism where the members

try to discuss the 'unsolved mysteries' of the world

without straining the credulity of the mind, and try

to synthesize science and mysticism as far as it is

possible.

 

I have been an admirer of Advaita for many years, and

see that it can serve as a 'backbone' for many

different paths.

 

I am a published writer and have seen how this medium

of the internet can really serve as not only a forum

for the exchange of ideas and experience, but also as

a source of inspiration, when used with intelligence

and understanding.

Dear Dave,

 

WELCOME BACK! I was trying to catch up with all old mail. Actually, due to

the illness of my teacher, I have been keeping myself away from reading much

of the mail since January. I apologize to the list for that.

 

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new members of this

list. Also, I would like to convey my deep gratitude for the volunteers who

are posting Gita sayings by various mahatmas.
