Guest guest
ananta <sarada 21 May 2000 14:33 Men are taught from childhood that they are weak and sinners. Teach them that they are all glorious children of immortality, even those who are the weakest in manifestation. Let positive, strong, helpful thought enter into their brains from very childhood. Lay yourselves open to these thoughts, and not to weakening and paralyzing ones. Say to your own minds, "I am He, I am He." Guest guest
In this context I think Swamiji also quoted a small story though I cant remember from which of his talks it is from. He says "There lived a man outside a small village who did nothing but chant "Soham Soham " all day. One day a tiger came near the village, saw this man sitting there, pounced on him and dragged him away for its meal. The villagers who heard the roars of the tiger also heard the man chanting "Soham . Soham" till his very last breath in the jaws of the tiger. " If you have the capacity to do this , then there is meaning in saying "I am Brahman". Otherwise it remains as an ideal to be reached.
