Guest guest
Once i went to a Sadhana Shivir of Pujya Guurdev. There i got to see a strange incident. i had read that in the field of Hypnotism a stage comes when one can look straight at the sun with naked eyes. I was talking to my friend and i realised that a person who was standing near to me was chanting some mantra and was looking straight at sun. I just couldn't believe my eyes. Today i suddenly remembered this incident and thought will share this with you all.
Guest guest
Jagadeeshwra Shastri was a great devotee of Sri Ramana Maharshi.Once Bhagavan took him along to climb the Arunachala hill at mid afternoon in summer. The heat was un bearable to Jagadeeshwara Shastri. Bhagavan did'nt seem to mind it and kept on climbing. After sometime, unable to bear it anymore, Jagadeeshwara Shastri pleaded with Bhagavan that he needs to sit in some shade as he felt his head was going to burst. Bhagavan told him to chant "Suryoham Asmi Suryoham Asmi" and to think that he was the sun. He further told him, that instead of feeling hot you will feel cool if you do like this. Jagadeeshwara Shastri started practising it and within a short time he did'nt feel the heat anymore. After this he would walk barefoot across the most heated roads in India much to the amazement of his friends. He used to reply, that from that day he had never felt the heat of the Sun.
