Guest guest
~~~~~~ om shanthi om~~~~~~ Excerpted from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna p.148 Tuesday 13/6/00 The Master Said: "If one analyses oneself, one doesn't find any such thing as 'I'. Take an onion, for instance. First of all you peel off the red outer skin; then you find thick white skins. Peel these off one after the other, and you won't find anything inside. In that state a man no longer finds the existance of his ego. And who is there left to seek it?" om tat sat ~~~~~~ om shanthi om~~~~~~ Extrait du Gospel de Sri Ramakrishna p.148 Mardi 13/6/00 Le Maître A indiqué: "Si on s'analyse, on ne trouve pas une telle chose en tant que 'le moi'. Prenez, par exemple, un oignon. D'abord de tous, vous épluchez de la peau rouge externe; et alors, vous trouverez les peaux blanches épaisses. Épluchez l'un après l'autre, et vous ne trouverez rien à l'intérieur. Dans cet état un homme ne trouve plus l'existance de son 'le moi'. En outre, qui restent là pour le rechercher?" om tat sat ~~~~~om shanthi om~~~~~~
Guest guest
Thanks for posting this. This is my favorite paragraph from the Gospel. If I remember correctly, this was the reply given by the master when the younger Naren asked whether we have free will.
