Guest guest
hi robert. this is a worthy and and important question, especially for jnanayogins where it's extremely common to get hypnotically entangled in intellectual speculation and the typically inevitable ride on the vast merry-go-round that takes us nowhere. in the final stretch on the path of advaita, its mission overwhelmingly culminates in checkmating the intellect. where prior to doing so we're merely in a quagmire of bewilderment and confusion, infused with expectations and crossed by doubts...therefore until the advent of moksha all speculation is not only meaningless but critically misleading and counterproductive. there has to come a point when one recognizes the abject futility of one's dependence on the intellect and its obsevations. once this point is reached Self-realization can happen at any moment. we have to bear in mind that the most important element in any spiritual philosophy is to transcend the habitual insistence of the judgmental dictates of the ego-Mind. moksha itself comes down to the very *ordinary* recognition of the feeling-mood of the Self, uninterupted by these habitual judgments in the mind. this is the sahaja sthithi of the atmabhavana (the natural state of the Self-feeling/being). the point is that everyone has this incredibly deep and relatively awesome status of Being *in all its unimaginable splendour and wonder*, it simply boils down to one's capacity to defuse the interfering mechanism of the Mind comandeering our awareness with relentless [and changing] categorizations of our manifestion in spacetime. it's interesting however that our failure to achieve the state of remaining unscathed by the mind's unrelenting curveballs is only *apparent*! Self-realization reveals the fact that we have always been the full thrust of satchidanada Itself, and that the historic impressions we held otherwise was the flimsiest and most tentative tricks every perpetrated on our [truly] inherently stainless consciousness. consiousness is ever unto itself in the eternal NOW, with the dance of Relativity that can dazzle and distort if not simply entertain!
