Your points about mistranslations of Patanjali helped clear up my previous misconception about what he was saying, based on erroneous translations. His statements now seem far more relevant and on-target. The web sites you recommended regarding this were very useful. Among other things, this is a lesson in the ways that interpretation according to a predetermined framework can distort perception.
