Dear list members:

Here is a meditation that I know, which practically originates from

aitareya brAhmaNA, uses dvaita as stepping stone, and helps in

achieving the highest advaitic reality at the final goal, at the same

time helping common people get the benefits of yoga and prANAyAmA.

ABSTRACT

A person may have the sweetest manners on the earth, but I can prove

that the person is rude! Any bets?

mitrA, the lord of exhalation is friend of all; and varuNA, dread of

touch, (also the lord of terror,) is the lord of inhalation. (AB)

People breathe, they inhale as well as exhale. When one inhales, the

mind as hotR invokes varuNA dread of touch, and when one exhales the

mind as hotR invokes mitrA friend of all. To the extent one inhales

one is rude and violent; people may not even know about it. To the

extent one exhales one is a friend of all.

The Jainist view that world is peaceful is false. There is as much

violence in the world as there is peace.

This does not mean a license to practice and preach violence.

The Existence is one without a second, in which there is neither

peace nor violence. Neither fragrance of a flower nor fetid smell of

rotten food. One who knows this continues to inhale and exhale; not

because one is forced to by past karmAs, but as a prime mover of this

world.

This will be my last post. Thanks for every one's attention.

With warm regards

Bhadraiah Mallampalli
