Guest guest
I wish to apologize for the sarcastic tone in my post to Surjitji. After I sent it, I realized it was not appropriate but was not sure on how to remedy it. Sorry Love to all Harsha Harsha (Dr. Harsh K. Luthar) [hluthar] Tuesday, September 26, 2000 2:14 PM advaitin ; Advaita Vedanta List Sanyasa and this world surjit [surjit] The issue that puzzles me is, going by this second stand, moksha for all would mean end of human population on this earth. I find this a bit difficult to digest. Is that what the divine has been aiming for with all his marvels? _______________ I see your point. Perhaps, Moksha is essentially a population control strategy to protect the environment. It directly addresses the green house effect and the ozone layer depletion issues. Our Lord is much smarter than we think, indeed. May the Lord be praised. Jai Jai Bhagwan. Jai Jai Bhagwan. Love Harsha

In case other members are able to to throw some light on the same I will stand corrected. > > With warm regards, > > Hari Om ! > > Swaminarayan. > ____________________ ___ > Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. > > Share information about yourself, create your own public profile at > http://profiles.msn.com. > > > > Discussion of Sankara's Advaita Vedanta Philosophy of nonseparablity of Atman and Brahman. > Advaitin List Archives available at: http://www.eScribe.com/culture/advaitin/ > For Temporary stoppage of your Email, send a blank email to > To resume normal delivery of Email, send a blank email to > To receive email digest (one per day) send a blank email to > To to advaitin list, send a blank email to > > Send instant messages & get email alerts with Messenger. > >
Guest guest
Thanks Sundar - I would have been surprised if it was a Vedic statement. Other aachaaryaas have criticized advaitic interpretation of Vyavahaara satya and satyasya satya. Shankara bhyaashhya emphasizes that vyavahaara is due to adhyaasa while the others do not fully for it. There is actually a similar sloka in Atmabhoda of Shankara - samsaaraH swapnatulyohi raaga dweshaadhi sankulaH| sakaale satyavad bhaati prabhode satyasatbhavet|| Hari Om!
