Guest guest
hariH OM! smt coletteji's recent postings from various sources clearly demonstrates the universality of nondual metaphysics. here's a letter in response to a question that shows the power behind the release of the dynamic of judgment*, our ultimate and final fetter/obstacle to moksha. ______ * vital though it is in the course of one's sadhana [in the form of viveka], it also commonly proves to be our most formidable obstacle at the unique moment we're shown to be ready for the awakening into our own source in Freedom. namaste ____________________ inquirer wrote: > I don't want to be here! I thought of Ramana Maharshi's teachings and "Who Am I" find the > source of the "I". I clearly witnessed the process of "I". Its all > stupid. hahaha! yes, it is. yet it's also elegant! stupid AND elegant. this is the nature of the Mind-in-action. the true nature of the the projection of brahman's leela. so is meditation. the process itself embraces the vastest range of possible relativity set-ups. at each point on the psychodynamic graph, is a mixture of the gunas: satvorajotamasic (satvic, rajasic and tamasic)...all representing unique blendings of the stupid and the elegant. yes! now, it is the *substratum* of all of that that we're looking to find and make the connection with! yet we have no choice but to fail continuously!! now you're ready to hear this: fact is, even the witness winds up being within the range of this relative spectrum. because the 'witness' is still a thing we can study and evaluate. we have a a conception of it. the Substratum on the other hand goes even deeper than that! the idea of the witness is only a temporary crutch--like training wheels on a bicycle--that has to be thrown when one starts approaching the threshold. (you're mentioning that you "have a front row seat in the comedy of life," is the clearest indication that you're at or approaching the threshold. yes.) don't put any stock in your ability or not to effectively meditate. it amounts to being nothing more than a pleasant passtime. ...like taking a hot bath or floating down from an airplane or making love. or it can be a source of anxiety. ...like boredom in a checkout line or a conflict in communication. ok: the Self is found *within* all of these mechanistic Life demonstrations AS WELL AS *beyond* and *beneath* them at the same time. and here's the final mule-kick to the Mind: you CANNOT in any way have a hands-on grasp that you *realize* your own true nature! THIS IS WHAT EVERYONE IS **EXPECTING** TO BEHOLD! OM shaanthi shaanthi shaanthiH
