For example, the first word of the bible, Elohim (also used in Judaism as ELOHIM GIBOR) is translated from the original Aramaic as "There were Light Beings." Or, "There were Beings of Light." Not, as bibles say, "In the beginning there was light." There are some beautiful books on this on Amazon, hopefully Vanderbilt U's library would have extensive material, but who knows. On the question re Sanskrit and English, yes, I would love to continue to see both. My Sanskrit is nonexistent, it takes some getting used to for me, even though I am normally fairly fluent and easy to pick up languages, I find Sanskrit not easy, I do love to have my tongue roll around the sounds though, and words have power, as I am sure you all already know.
