Guest guest
Dear Advaitins, Hari Om! Just a few days back I have returned from India. This time my trip was spiritually fulfilling. I was there for 2 weeks. I spent my time in South. Visited Ramanashramam and Pandichery. I am sure you might have seen my message on Internet from Tiruvannamalai. The fact that you can find Internet cafes at such remote places like Tiruvannamali, shows that "Internet literacy" has reached even the villages in India. The only thing that is *yet* to reach Indian villages is basic food and shelter... Some economists told me that since most of the Indian youth are working abroad, the money that they earn will reach Indian villages, through recycling, with in 7 years. I hope the youth of India who are working abroad will send money back to India. I also went for a visit to Pandichery Sri Aurobindo's ashram. Over all I spent a good time in India. Visiting holy places is always spiritually uplifting experience... I would to share with you the photos of Ramanashram and Aurobindos ashram and some other important places. I will scan and upload them in a few days. Here is an announcement: We are constructing a memorial to our teacher H.H. Swamini Saradapriyananda, who attained Mahasamadhi on April 17th of this year. The bhumipuja ceremony for the construction was done on 18th of October. The construction cost is estimated to be US$13,000. Though I am not asked to raise funds for this construction, I knew it would be a difficult task to achieve . It is because most of the money which arrives into the ashram, goes into various social service programs, so I don't think there would be extra money to spare for the construction... Hence I felt that I should request my like minded friends to help us in the construction. People who would like to send donations for the construction may send them to: Swamini Seelananda Chinmayaranyam Ellayapalle Obulavaripalle Post Cuddapah District Andhra Pradesh India Pincode: 516 108 Swamini Amma's photos: http://www.geocities.com/kandihrao/Amma_Photos.html If you would like to receive more information related to the ashram please send me a personal e-mail. Thank you. Yours, Madhava
