Guest guest
This post is to introdce myself to the group as per the custom of the forum. I am inclined to put it sweet and short in a few lines: "I am neither the mind, intelligence, ego, nor chitta, Neither the ears nor the tongue, nor the senses of smell and sight; Name and form, I have not, ..." But then, even a pure Advaitin will find this introduction un-interesting ! This introduction also has the special drawback that I will be plainly echoing what I read in 'Shruti' without really knowing what I read. So, my best option is to say about myself honestly, "I don't know". Though this answer may evoke sympathy, neverthless the truth will be found out very soon and one would ask me, tell me about yourself in the domain of Maya. I would then remember from Shruti again and say, there is no Maya, it is all illusion. It does not exist! One would then say, it does exist now as far as I know and when we go beyond it, we may re-introduce ourselves all over again. This seemed like a fair contract and I decided to go on. --- I studied Electronics and Computer Science. On the job, I travelled in various parts of India, Australia, Asia, Europe, and USA. After travelling a little bit, I figured that different peoples in different regions and countries are all beautiful and working hard towards realizing that beauty with diverse outward customs, traditions, and outlooks. Diversity makes it even more beautiful. I am both dualistic and non-dualistic in out/in-look. To me, it is unfair to miss out on what is beautiful. All my postings have this diversity. In the long run, I have a dream of putting together dance ballets on various Upanishads. I am not a dancer at all, though dancing we all do everyday. The dance ballets will involve various diverse dance forms and most importantly, harmonising with the depths of soul. Guest guest
The Soul is free because it can be manifest or non-manifest (dwaita or advaita). It can enjoy an illusion or the remain as is (tatastha). This is the freedom. But mind thinks that illusive (external projected scene) world is his/her life. This linking of illusion to the mind's narrow view of life is the bondage. Venkatesh Shetti

He says he is not a dancer, but I have seen him dance beautifully to His enchantic music. His wife and daughter were students of Kalamandapam, a dance school run by my wife. His wife is a very great artist. She had built equisite palaquins and lotuses for the dance ballet Venkateswara Vaibhavam enacted few months ago by the Kalamandapam group. They are going back to India to prove that world is indeed round or puurNam. I have known him for more than year but came to know of his immense interest in Vedanta only recently. We are going to be enriched by his contributions to advaitin. My hearty welcome again. Hari Om! Sadananda K.
