Bond Of Manifest In UnManifest

Uddalaka Aruni said to his son Svetaketu: 'Fetch me from thence a

fruit of the Nyagrodha tree.'

' Here is one, Sir.'

'Break it.'

'It is broken, Sir.'

'What do you see there ?'

'These seeds, almost infinitesimal.'

'Break one of them.'

'It is broken, Sir.'

'What do you see there ?'

'Not anything, Sir.'

The father said: 'My son, that subtle essence which you do not

perceive there, of that very essence this great Nyagrodha tree

exists.'

'Believe it, my son, an invisible and subtle essence is the Spirit of

the whole universe; in it all that exists has its self. That is

Reality. That is Atman. THOU ART THAT.'

Vivekachudamani #132: In this very body, in the mind full of sattva,

in the secret chamber of the intellect, in the Akasa known as the

Unmanifested, the Atman, of charming splendour, shines like the sun

aloft, manifesting this universe through Its own effulgence.

Rig Veda 10.129(1): There was neither non-existence nor existence

then; there was neither the realm of space nor the sky which is

beyond. What stirred? Where? In whose protection? Was there water,

bottomlessly deep?

(4): Desire came upon that one in the beginning; that was the first

seed of mind. Saints seeking in their heart with wisdom found the

bond of existence in non-existence.

10.121(1):In the beginning the Golden Embryo arose. Once he was born,

he was the one lord of creation. He held in place the earth and this

sky. Who is the god whom we should worship with the oblation ?
