Avadhuta Gita

Song of the Ever free

Chapter 7 Verse 3

The Avadhuta is free from the captivating trap of desire.

Shunning social niceties, he is absorbed in the Supreme Spirit.

Thus, renouncing everything, he becomes one with the pure,

stainless Brahman.

Commentary:-

Just as the earlier verse reminds one of Raman Maharashi

This verse reminds one of Swami Vivekananda.

Once walking up to a platform to give a talk;

someone in the audience who observed him remarked:-

"He walked as if he owed the world and yet desired nothing of it"
